Day 2 of the Love Dare challenge is an active dare, so I spent the day in search of an opportunity to act on it. It took 2 weeks…but there was suddenly, quietly, a way…and I found that very satisfying.
Walking through the Love Dare book, taking on the challenge to actively express God’s love to another person, when it’s not convenient, fun, or particularly rewarding.
Love Dare – Day 1
Metaphorically speaking, I am in an arranged marriage for the next 12-18 months. We both, for different reasons, are committed to being in a certain place for a minimum timeframe, and it is necessary that we interact. It’s a growth opportunity for all involved, and an opportunity for God to show off His sustaining, encouraging, and even disciplining grace. To that end, and in keeping with the metaphor, I am following the ‘Love Dare’ book from the movie ‘Fireproof’. Today was day one.
