Week 8

Operating on the assumption that someone is actually reading the Journal entries….

A careful reader will note that Week 7 is missing – apparently I’m developing an aversion to odd numbers, or perhaps I’m merely demonstrating that I have a consistency threshold of about 4 repetitions.  For the truth about where Week 7 went, simply read the entries on 1492, Cabeza de Vaca, The Mission, and Brainwashing and Violence in New Religious Movements.  It was a busy and productive Fall Break.

It may have been a tad too busy…  the primary health issue is becoming a matter of concern again, to the extent that those closest to me (by proximity, then trust) have been taking notice.  I am moderately concerned, but there is one supremely important factor to keep in mind – God knows His plans, and how to see them through successfully.  My bigger concern is that my mother will be faced with a sink full of dishes.  I am scheduled for thorough testing on Nov 17, then we can investigate the feasibility of panic – not until then.  Don’t read too much into that, there’s an opportunity rolling through town, and I made arrangements to take advantage of it.  If you wish to do likewise, check out www.HealthFair.com.

Next week, I’ll be focused on a client and the remaining research projects (the list of links on the left should be a clue).  As always, I can’t get enough interpreting practice, just in case anyone is truly fluent in ASL and willing to endure the exercise of reading my interpretations and providing brutally honest feedback (with grace, of course).

If you’re keeping up with the other two blog sites, you’ll see that there’s been a bit of change in Stained Glass and no progress on the Bible Walkthrough. Looks like both of these will be waiting until Christmas Break, if not summer.  The good news is, my neighbor and I have completed the book of Leviticus (laws) and are about to start on Numbers (census).  This is important because it was the impetus for the Bible Walkthrough blog, and it’s a progressive success, no matter what else is going on.

This cycles us back around to God keeping His promises…  He is taking care of my needs, and He is providing me with a ministry platform among invisible people. When you have these, what more is there to ask for?
